Tricked school bus

Yes the Lopez school bus line must be very proud of this bus. It's an example of the optimum bus should look like in Puerto Rican standards. A child's Safety is not a concern here.. We saw a bus driving down the wrong way of a one way divided road in the middle of rush hour!!! The other vehicles had to pull out of the way... But the bus looked good...
Mr Lopez go back to the drawing board and rethink your business strategies... I bet this Fuckin thing had hydrolics also..

Over weight box!!

Don't mistake the title I am not reffering to a "Fat Snatch". This is what happens when the box gets filled with concrete. As you try to load it onto the back of your truck... well if the box is heavier than the truck ....up goes the truck.. Very dangerous situation.. I hope you all appreciate DOT regulations and federal guidlines that force us to drug test our drivers... I can't imagine anyone high doing this... Or if they did they would do it over and over and over and just laugh their ass's off....

Pup trailer

This is the truck and loads we drove pretty big load.... Long and hard... How do you like my rig? Freakin Puerto Rican drivers Best stay out my way!!! Yeah it's not easy handleing one of these bitches... Just thought I would throw it in here for shit's and grins. See it was not all fun and games down there.

Roadside grub Puerto rican style

So when I got there to Ponce we didn't want the drivers to suspect that we had anything to do with being the Blue Crew. We wanted them to be at ease and we actually told them that we are there only to do route audits and watch them perform safety sensative tasks. One of the tasks that this Puerto Rican driver gave me was Lunch that was cooked in this old truck and served up at a place that most reasonable people would never dare to eat... Well this was the second one of these types of places that I dined at and I must admit the Comida (Food) was excellente!! The first place we stopped at we ran across a 4 lane divided highway much like the game frogger. There we dined on the Puerto Rican dish "Mofungo". Mofungo was served to us in 3 large styrafoam soup cups. One cup had fried pork chunks one had chicken broth and the other had fried mashed plantains. You mix the chicken broth with the plantains and "Wempawaytcho" (bon appatite, enjoy your food). It was great. At this place in this picture I ate half a chicken or pigeon I am not sure......

Happy Easter # 2

While down in Puerto Rico on The sur side of the Island in a town called "Ponce" after "Ponce De leon" We stayed at the Hotel Melia which was right in the middle of town across from the "Parque de Bombas" or "Hotel De Bombas" an Old fire house museum now that was built in 1883. Here the Puerto Ricans are celebrating something... These kids danced in the blistering heat and did pretty good. We watched a few sweating their ass's off and appear really tired at times but it was pretty cool.
So much for celebrations.

Happy Easter

I know you all saw this one before but it is still a favorite of mine. It's kind of like the old cardboard cutouts your mom used to put on the windows of your house to celebrate certain holidays. Wow times have changed. I guess know we should have pictures of Kasmire Pulaski and Martin Luther King. Kwansa, and the day they stopped all smoking in public places around Illinois... They did the same thing in Puerto Rico.
Anyway have a Happy Easter. Remember he has risen..

Here I am with "Peter Griffin". Well that's what I called him. His real name was Bob. Well that's what I thought till I called him Bob and he did not answer. I said to him BOB when I call you answer me!! he responded.... My names not Bob it's Dave .....OK Fair enough.. DAAAAVE.
Here we are by "La Muralla de San Juan" or City Wall it's located just east of "Castillo San Cristobal" or "Fuerte San Cristobal" which is either San Cristobal castle or fort. Its located in the San Juan Bay its sister Fuerte or fort is San Felipe del Morro Fortress built from 1540 to 1783.
On May 11 1898, American war ships arrived off the north shore of Puerto Rico. Just before dawn (I don't know who Dawn is?) the American ships opened fire on San Juan. Something like 1360 shells and more were fired. 15 thousand civilians took to the streets and ran into the jungles.
The Puertoricans had fired their huge Ordonez cannon from San Cristobal which started the Spanish-American war.
OK enough with the history leason. I remember walking thru the village in San Juan in the area that they are talking about and man it's like old Italy but it's not it,s Freakin Puerto Rico... The simalarities are this they both have very narrow cobblestone streets and the buildings are real close together. So when you think about that many shells being fired at this area it's pretty wild.. I will see if I have a few pics in my collection for a later viewing..
peace

When we first got to Puerto Rico We had to be "incon-SPIC-uass" (not seen)
Ha Ha he used the word SPIC while referring to Puerto Rico Ha Ha.
So as we drove around in a BIG White van looking at routes and different locations that we service (ha ha he said service) we had to stop by the Bacardi plant!! After all we had box's there to service. We actually took the tour which was really interesting. Joe and I agree on ONE thing... Farts are funny, Boobs are cool and RUM is gooood!!
The shutter was not working properly on my camera.. The last time I used the camera to capture porn I was struck by my own money shot..... Sorry pretty graphic there... Uhm ok on with the trip....Here I am in front of Casa De Barcardi... When we got into the village later on that evening to sample the local cuisine and have a few cock-tails the locals laughed when we ordered Barcardi and told us the official RUM of Puerto Rico is DonQ
pronounced "Don-Cuu". I brought a bottle of DonQ back for my wife 1 liter was $10,00 at the duty free shop... Nice.

Big Lar.

Here is Larry, Good ole boy from St. Louis IL. We have been on 3 the strikes together and Love the work. I have to give Larry his props. He was very polished on his Front load driving skills and thank the sweet lord for that because Larry did the bulk of the routes.. No shit he finished his route and then helped other people finish theirs. Us other drivers had not been in a Frontload truck for some 7 years or so, so we became a little rusty..
NOTE: Good managers and supervisors should not be in the trucks at their home base doing the other drivers route under any circumstances at all... We are supposed to manage them not complete them...
Here is Lar at the "Hotel Melia" in the tiny elevator that was rated for only 4 people. I guess they meant 4 Puertorican people who tend to be smaller than us Big fucks!! We got on the elevator 4 of us and the doors closed the motor hummed the cables sounded like they actually stretched!! and then it stopped and went dead!! Larry reached over me and pushed the doors open and we had moved up about 4 feet. so we had a 4 foot hole to climb out of at the bottom of the door opening and we all came flying out one after another laughing our ass's off!!! Later there was a sign that said elevator under repair..... I don't know...
More to come!!

Backwoods Ass Country FUCKS!!!!

These two guys are about as Hillbilly country as you can get without pickin a Banjo.
The gentleman seated in the picture is Perry (Tater) Ford from Suck Creek Mississippi. I shit you not!! He was very cool His nickname was given to him because Slingblade was already taken and he reminded us of Carl..
The Moron in the back is "Tennessee Bill" total Fucken Gear head trucker who posed the question " how big is this here island? about 100 mile long and 50 miles wide, right? Then why the fuck do they have sleeper cabs on their semi's out here?" Good question.
Bill turned out to be a real Fuck-stick so we voted him off the island. That's right the big bosses sent him home. After 1 day. We all worked like 12 plus hours a day and he came in saying he was only working 10 and that was it. So we put him on a far away route and he ended up having his translator call the boss saying that he had to come in off the route. Well he stayed on the route and THEN went home .. LOL
More to come..

Here I am in front of the Hotel we stayed at in "Ponce" which is on the "Sur" or "south" side of the island. I just got dropped off from work and was about to go up to the roof for some beer and sun...

The Cuisine down in Puerto Rico was excellent!! Here is a whole red snapper along with fried Plantinos... Delicious.. I ended up eating the eyes also just to freak the other guys out.
Accompanied by a local beer "Medalla" pronounced "Med-eye-ah" This was a meal I had a couple of times...
More to come.

The story begins

So... In October my company started discussing the possability of our divisions in Puetro Rico going on strike. I belong to a certain team who gets sent to troubled areas to be a SCAB and do the job they refuse to do when they decide to strike. (SCAB stands for "Still Collecting All Benifits") My company took my information along with other qualified members of this team and submitted them to the Puerto Rican Government for approval. I was one of the ones who was given approval. Reminder: this was back in October 07. As we finished off the year we had a few times that the team was called and put on high alert ready to fly out at any given moment, but never did it happen. Now I have been on a few strike forces some close some far but Puerto Rico would be the BOMB!!!
I planned our yearly ski trip for the weekend of Feb. 16 08 and the morning of Friday the 15 of Feb 2008 I got the order to book my flight and that I was flying out on Tuesday the 19th of Feb. I flew out of Chicago at 6:00 am and landed in San Juan Puerto Rico at 2;30 pm that afternoon. I knew a few guys from the other strikes who would be there Big Lar. for one he lives in ST. Louis IL. but the rest of the guys would be strangers.. Here is a picture of me in a Front load commercial garbage truck. More to come Bitches
